My name is Sophie Clarke and I am the owner of SLC Sport Massage Therapy based in Penshaw, Houghton-le-spring. I offer sport massage services tailored to meet every individuals needs and concerns, whether this be easing muscle tension, relieving pain or wanting that extra performance boost. My mission is to create high quality massages that will help you focus on your recovery and well being whilst also making sure they are as affordable as I can.
My history
My love for sport started when I was quite young and I was always aware that I wanted to go into a profession in the industry. It started with getting my BTEC Sport and Exercise Science Level 2,3 and extended diploma in Secondary school and College. Followed up by taking my undergrad degree in Sport Therapy and Rehabilitation in university. Along side my studies I was given the opportunity to work in the sporting industry by becoming the team physiotherapist at Horden Community welfare FC in the EBAC Northern League Divison 2 for two seasons. During this time I evolved my sport massage skills as well as my knowledge on injury specific treatments. Fast forward to now where I am running my own business whilst supporting Birtley Town Fc in EBAC Northern League Division 1 as their team physiotherapist for my third season with them.
